JabezKidz is a non-profit organization which primarily fights for children in the poverty stricken areas of Jakarta (Indonesia).
The foundation of the organization is based on an idea from Dominique Heinen of Belgium who has been working in Indonesia (Jakarta) by providing foreign aid since October 2009.
It’s our goal to lead these children effectively toward a safer and more livable future.
We just celebrated in our centre the first “English Day” on March 5th 2017 at Sungai Tiram LIFE Center - Tanjung Priok Jakarta. The aim of this activity is to see the improvement of the children who join the English afternoon lessons. It is to encourage and motivate the parents to continuously support their children in this class. It also serves as a fun way to learn for the children and a great entertainment for the whole community.
During the event, the children performed drama and dance. We also took time to teach the community on entrepreneurship. The theme was 'Nothing Is Impossible", which speaks of hope for the children and the community to reach for their dream
amidst being poor and living in a slum area.
Parents, friends and people around the community came and graced the occasion which was a joyous one.
This year JabezKidz welcomes another community in which we extend our help and support:
Sungai Tiram center
in TanjungPriok which is located North of Jakarta, opposite end of Kebyoran Lama center which is our first center in the South of Jakarta. This project is in cooperation with our local partner organization Lima Roti DuaIkan.
Sungai Tiram center runs several programs such as mothers´ program, library, tutorial classes, and a full time preschool. It is run by 9 full time workers who generously give their time, and love to the community. Currently, the center is serving as many as 80 children in preschool, 100 children for tutorial lessons and 50 children ages 1-4 years old who receiveregular nutritional care.
Through each and every support you give JabezKidz, we are able to expand our scope in assisting more communities in Indonesia that are truly in need.
We hope that this is just another step for us to someday reach out to more communities all over Indonesia, empowering more children, more mothers, and more communities.
